 A couple of Maggie's favorite things this past year have been animals, babies, and singing O Donny E-I-O...so it was pretty easy to decide this girl needed a petting zoo/farm party.

The kids were plenty busy for the first hour. Then the zoo loaded up and went back to the home farm (and hopefully survived all the love they received). Then it was time to dig in to some of Kyle's smoked pulled pork and total picnic food! And farm animal cupcakes.

I think I didn't actually expect Maggie to understand what was going on but she's clearly older than I sometimes let her be - she totally got it!

Maggie with Tony (Irish exchange student who stayed with us for a few weeks - precious gal). Maggie liked to clarify - Tony, NOT Pony. That's right, she's not a pony. But she did give Maggie a really sweet stuffed Tiger, appropriately named Tony the Tiger. She's currently part of Maggie's bedtime arsenal of friends.

After the crowd left it was open presents - another thing she clearly understood - what's dis? what's dis? (as she opened them) nother one, nother one?!
