I love cupcakes and party favors and all things kid birthday party but I really really love invitations.
These pics are SO Maggie.
Moooooooo!
Cheese!
Ooooooooh!
Airplane!!!
The final invite.
Okay, now is as good a time as any to list some recent Maggie memories:
-She likes to make a distinction between FUNNY and HAPPY. It started because someone told her she was funny and she said, NO HAPPY. Then it was the other way around. Now if you say one of the words, she immediately corrects you and says the other one.
-The tent went bye bye. Maggie: Tent, bye bye. Okay, just for bedtime. But this has been huge. And by huge I mean of-course-it-had-to-happen, but noooooooooooo! :) The zipper broke and a tent Maggie could get out of was no tent at all. So we went all parenting on her and worked with her to stay in her big girl bed. It's been a couple of months (1-2?) and its preeety good. It's not like post-crib, pre-tent Maggie (when we tried and it was a disaster) but...I'll just say we've had to crack down on getting under beds and terrorizing siblings and its a little bit of an ongoing battle. And my mom Bee may stop babysitting in the evenings. (Incidentally not long after we committed to go tent-less, we fixed it so that she could still nap in it. 'Cause momma ain't that razy.)
-Coming off the heels of Maggie and I whispering sweet nothings to each other...we started (she started!) a new little thing. It's called "widdle tiny" and it goes like this.
Me: Maggie, do you want a kiss?
Maggie: Widdle tiny one (pointing to her cheek).
I give her the tiniest peck ever.
Maggie: (yelling immediately following peck) BIIIIIG ONE!
I give her a big smooch.
Lather, rinse, repeat. My heart is happy.
-Maggie says "shaw, shaw" (for sure) and she puts her hand in front of her mouth like she's saying something she's not supposed to. Hard to describe. One of her funniest little things.
-I forget what the occasion was but Maggie slept in my bed with me (clearly Kyle was working, I just can't recall where the big kids where) - we had the snuggliest little sleepover. She's pretty yummy. And she's a bed hog. :)
-Likes to "hide" behind things (that don't hide her very well) and jump out and yell suuuprise!
In my blog hiatus I haven't done a very good job of keeping notes of funny things to jot down. With Maggie, let me assure you there are MANY more...but these are the ones I could easily remember. What a girl!
