Actual Birthday

As if the party at Smudge wasn't fun enough...the evening after Rebecca's birthday party Owen and Maggie had a sleepover with Bee so I could have a special date night with the birthday girl (Kyle was working). I told her we would do (pretty much) whatever she wanted. She initially talked about the Central Market playground but she on her own realized it was so hot we would probably both melt - and our ice cream definitely would. So, she came up with our next plan - the mall - and she directed every step. We started off at the Build-A-Bear workshop so she could buy a bear baby for her Rose Princess bear.
Then she took me on a wild goose chase to find something she said she saw one time at the mall (yes, it was that vague). It was a cupcake box with a number necklace in it, and it was in a store on "this side" and it's "this way" and yes, its past "that one" and "more over there." Well...long walk short we meandered from one end of the mall to the other - she actually found the store she remembered - Hallmark (she had been there with Pam a few weeks earlier but I didn't know that). We found the cupcakes, but no 6 :( but I found a plan B.
We ran into another store and Rebecca decided to do a little modelling for us...
We ended up at California Pizza kitchen for dinner (where they give you pizza dough to play with)!
We then went to our first Amy's for ice cream, but it wasn't the one with the photobooth...so we ended up at a second.
Here she is the morning of her actual birthday. She's wearing the birthday skirt I made her for her 3rd birthday. It was a little snug but she said it was perfect.
That morning we had a playdate with her soon-to-be kindergarten classmates...but spent most of the time playing with her brother and sister.
And later that morning while Owen was with a friend, us girls went to see the Whales IMAX movie.
Can't believe this spunky curley-haired girl is SIX!!! She's so fun to celebrate!
