My goal for this post is brevity because there are so many other new posts below (with so many words). Let's see how I do.
Rebecca = statue.
Rebecca made lunch. Maggie at it.
Spring in ATX is perfect. Maggie and I cuddled on a blanket in the front yard in the shade. Bliss.
Daddy needed a western shirt.
Rebecca has googly eyes.
Maggie is ASLEEP on the POTTY.
Rebecca made a fancy tea party for Rosalon, Jingle Doggy, Rose Princess and FAO (cat from F.A.O. Schwarz, says "F.A.O" on her collar so R calls her Fao which means ugly (feo) in spanish).
Leftover cake and a banana-sunbutter-chocolate chip treat she made all by herself. Plus tea like Daddy likes it.
This deserves a video but the one I have is too long. Rebecca put on a magic show (this is her "poster") - she made a curtain out of tissue paper that the tore down (on purpose) during her big entrance, and a body suit made out of trashbags (with sharpy design) that she tore off her body...not sure what kind of magic shows she's been exposed too...Then she pulled some tissue out of a toilet paper roll and said viola really loudly. Followed by (the grand finale) pulling a package of cheddar bunnies out of a baseball cap and laughing hysterically at herself and the revelation of her own comedic genius. (Okay, lots of words, I know, but you couldn't watch the video!)
Colonial Sewing - I got to help - such fun kiddos and such a fun (and tricky!) project!
Owen's favorite reader so far. He LOVED it and could't stop talking about it.

It's almost getting too small - favorite nighty. Belonged to Aunt Laura. Maggie yells "It has apples on it! See, one, two, three, four!" (I think they're cherries...but she disagrees.)
Post big-kid-sleepover with the Other Mezgers - they kept O & R and we got their #3B Blair - she and Maggie had the best night!

Post 5-kid outing (shout-out to Emmy and Boone!) to see "Home" - this was like the Lego Movie song that was stuck in everyone's head for all of 2014. Enjoy.
Non-photo memories:
-While O & R have been fighting a lot. O & M have been wrestling a lot. Which produces giggles, not tears. Have some great long videos - will try to remember to post a short one.
-Owen is obsessed w/ the Hardy Boys. We're on book 3. He was given a 5-book set by the Fosheas for his birthday last year and it has been such a hit.
-Rebecca wants to spend all of her money just because. We'll be going into the specialty lightbulb store (bain of my home-ownership existence) and she'll be scouring the shelves for something she remotely likes that she can afford. Delayed gratification is going to be h.a.r.d. for this one.
-Rebeca recently had the self-proclaimed "worst day ever" because there was "no ice cream, no dress (?), can't sleep in your bed..." and on and on and on. It was a drama high note.
-Maggie looks all cute and harmless but right before Easter I made the desperate decision to take she and R to the mall (gasp!) to "run in real quick" to a store to get Easter dresses for them. Well, that store isn't in the mall anymore, my next choice was closed for renovations, several more just didn't have anything decent in their sizes...on and on. Okay, so not a lot of fun for two kids - I get it. But let me tell you what is less fun. Wrangling a very out of control almost-four-year-old who simply will not stay still, stay out of clothing racks, listen or obey in the slightest, and who only has one voice volume = entirely too loud. I literally had 2 cute dresses that fit them in my hands and it got so crazy with her that I put them at the check-out counter and we left. And I was too embarassed to go back in so we walked to yet another store. Ya'll it was the worst. I was so sweaty when we finally left with two not-very-cute dresses (from our final random department store) that I just gave up and bought. #finesthour
-BUT this is the same kid who is has taken to telling me on a regular basis (unprompted): Mom, you're my best friend. And insists that all goodbyes include two kisses, and two hugs. Her hugs are the best, by the way, her arms wrap around tight and she squeezes with her cheek pressed against yours. And her kisses though a little wet are the sweetest. She likes to close her eyes and put her hand under your chin or on both cheeks - and I swear we haven't been letting her watch romantic comedies. :)
